Drivers Instructions

Tap “HITCH Now” in the side menu to launch the ride-booking interface.

• Customer Number: Type in the customer’s mobile phone number.
• Vehicle Type: Select the appropriate vehicle category (TAXI 1-4 passengers, XL TAXI 5-7 passengers).

Enter the drop-off address or pin on the map where the customer wants to go.

Tap Confirm.

A pop-up appears prompting you to enter a one-time password.

The customer receives an OTP (One Time Password) text message on their device.

Enter that OTP in the dialogue box to authenticate your customer and start the ride.

Once OTP is accepted, the ride “in progress” state is activated.

The timer/tracker starts logging distance, time, and fare.

Navigate to and arrive at the customer’s requested destination

Tap End Ride.

This transitions the app to the payment state.

The driver’s device shows a QR code on-screen.

A payment link opens on the customer’s device, where they enter their card details.

While the customer completes payment, a countdown timer runs on the driver’s screen.

Once the customer completes payment, the HITCH Driver App will show the ride as paid, and the session ends.

You’re now free to start the next booking.
